Dave Matthews Band Tour
Dave Matthews Band is touring the states, and will be in Commerce City, Colorado August 15, and then at the Usana Amphitheater in Salt Lake City in Utah on August 17, 2010. Dave Matthews is touring for a variety of reasons, and one is to promote his latest recordings, but for the most, a lot of fans would argue that live Dave Mathews Band Concerts are the reason that they buy his recordings in the first place. In other words, his live performances are the reason you become a Dave Matthews Band fan.
At some of the stops, he’s actually supporting collaborations, so you can expect that some of his shows this year will actually have artists like Kenny Chesney on the board. But most fans want to see him in his form that he brought to the show at Luther College, with Tom Reynolds. Or his show at Radio City in 2007. Dave Matthews will be playing a number of venues and shows with Jason Mraz. In Chicago, on September 17 and 18, DMB and Jason Mraz will be doing shows at 7 PM at Wrigley Field. And in early September, the Dave Matthews Band will be in the state of Washington for a number of concerts at “The Gorge” (Gorge Amphitheater).
DMB will be playing shows there on September 3, 4, and 5 of this year as well. In the past, DMB has teamed up with the likes of Zac Brown, and we’re looking to expect the same sort of cameos along the way, throughout DMB’s tour of the U.S. this year and next. Recently, DMB has been playing a number of benefits to help promote awareness about the environmental consequences of the spill in the gulf.
And in the past, it’s been quite common for Dave Matthews himself to support a number of social and political causes, though he hadn’t really campaigned for any politicians, up until 2004 that is, when he played a number of benefit and campaign venues in support of John Kerry.
Dave Matthews supported Barack Obama for president in 2008, when he teamed up with Tim Reynolds again, for a number of “Change Rocks” concerts. Dave Matthews was born in South Africa and moved around quite a bit in his younger years, and is quite sensitive to racism, and has spoken quite frankly about this sort of issue, during concerts and shows as of late. He also tends to plug his pet environmental causes, such as those that surround the issue of bio fuel. Check Below for a list of Dave Matthews Band Tour Dates.
