Aubrey Drake Graham also known simply as Drake is a Canadian actor turned recording artist. He became famous playing Jimmy Brooks, a character on the hit teen television show entitled, Degrassi: The Next Generation. He stayed on the show as the character Jimmy Brooks from Season 1 to 8. In June of 2009, he officially became a 
recording artist when he signed on to join Lil’ Wayne’s recording company, Young Money Entertainment. In June of 2010, he released his first album entitled Thank Me later, it became number 1 in the Billboard 200 Chart. He has only been recording since the year 2006, that was when he released an original mixed tape, So Far Gone which has now reached Extended Play Status and then the new drake mixtape. Before signing a contract with Lil Wayne he has had the privilege to write for artists like Alicia Keys, Jazz Cartier, Bishop Brigante and even Dr. Dre. Although he is still fairly new to the recording industry he has been nominated for numerous awards, including the Grammys. In 2010, Drake (rapper) ,won 2 Juno Awards for Best New Artist, and Rap Recording of the Year. He was asked to perform in the 2010 Grammy Awards. There you could see drake rap his way to the top. Aside from being a part of the cast of Degrassi: The Next Generation for 8 seasons, he has appeared and acted in numerous television shows like Sophie (A Canadian Television Series), Soul Food (A drama series) and Beyond the Break (An American Drama Series set in Hawaii), to name a few. He has also acted in 2 movies, Charlie Bartlett 
(with Robert Downey, Jr, Kat Dennings and Anton Yelchin) and Mookie’s Law. He will be seen in the Upcoming movie, Batman: The Brave and the Bold: The Movie set to be released sometime in 2010. He is said to play the role of The Comedy Boy.
